Terms & Conditions for Vehicle Pricing

Vehicle prices on thetaxicentre.com are available only to current taxi drivers and operators in the United Kingdom and proof of a valid licence will be required to purchase.

Terms & Conditions for Vehicle Finance

We are a credit broker not a lender. Finance is subject to status and finance company acceptance. We will introduce you to a selected lender first. We may have an obligation to propose you to this lender first. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we will then introduce you to up to two further lenders in our panel. If our main panel of lenders do not make an offer of finance to you, we will offer to introduce you to Evolution Funding Limited who will endeavour to obtain a finance offer for you.

We are not an independent financial advisor and we are not impartial. We do not assess the wider market for finance, or provide any advice on whether the finance products we offer represent the best value you could obtain.

Commission arrangements are negotiated with our lenders in advance and do not give us any discretion to negotiate or adjust your annual percentage rate (APR) or any other item included in the total charge for credit. Unless a fixed rate is offered, the APR may vary according to your credit score or the amount you borrow. The value of the commission we will receive is set out in the Demands and Needs document we will provide to you. The commission paid to us is included within the cost of your finance. Some lenders may provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock or provide us with interest free loans.

Terms & Conditions for 14 Day Money-Back Guarantee

Applies to all used, ex-demonstrator and pre-registered cars. Customers can return the car to the dealership within 14 days from delivery/collection, if usage is under 500 miles, and receive a full refund (except for road fund licence which is refunded pro-rata directly by DVLA) and cancellation of any finance arranged through us, provided that it is returned in the same condition with all keys, manuals etc. The customer will be responsible for arranging return to the dealership and for any costs of doing so.

If the V5 has not yet been received by the customer and cannot be returned with the car, a sum of £250 shall be retained from the refund until such time as the original V5 is provided, or the dealership is able to submit the registered keeper change online.

Any part-exchange vehicles will be paid at the agreed valuation unless a return of the part-exchange vehicle is agreed. Any return of the part-exchange vehicle would be without any liability for the condition of the part-exchange. Excludes commercial vehicles and motorcycles.

Terms & Conditions for Business Delivery

Business delivery on used cars is free if you live under 30 miles from The Taxi Centre dealership where the vehicle is purchased. Any subsequent delivery cost is calculated at an additional £1 per mile over and above 30 miles.

Business delivery is only available Monday - Friday and across mainland England, Wales and Scotland (subject to the delivery location being accessible). The following locations are excluded from business delivery: Northern Ireland, Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Orkney Isles, Outer and Inner Hebrides, Western Isles, Shetland Isles, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scilly Isles and Channel Isles.

In order to protect against fraud (including identity theft) the following process will be followed:

  • Customers are required to provide sight of the driver's licence of the person authorised to take delivery of the vehicle prior to business delivery either (at The Taxi Centre's absolute discretion) (i) by video call with the supplying dealership; or (ii) by prior arrangement in person at a local Vertu Motors group dealership.
  • Business delivery will be to the business address on the Vehicle Order Form which must be the registered office of the company / business / trader, or another operating business premises verified by us for which satisfactory proofs of business operation have been provided (at The Taxi Centre's absolute discretion).
  • The vehicle will be driven to the business address by the supplying dealership (or its agent).
  • Delivery of the vehicle will only be to the confirmed authorised director of the company, partner of the partnership or sole trader (as applicable) and their driver's licence must be available to be re-checked on delivery.

Terms & Conditions for Reserve Online

On successful payment of the reservation fee, we will reserve your chosen vehicle (the Vehicle) for you for up to 48 hours (the Reservation Period) to enable you to speak to one of our sales advisors.  If you make a telephone or dealership appointment within the Reservation Period, we will reserve the Vehicle for you until the time of your appointment, and extend the Reservation Period until your appointment. If you have not made a telephone or dealership appointment with the selling dealership within 48 hours to discuss the Vehicle, or you do not attend an agreed appointment within 7 days, the Reservation Period will end, your reservation may be cancelled and your reservation fee will be refunded to you.

There is no obligation on you to buy the Vehicle, or on us to sell the Vehicle, as a result of payment of a reservation fee.  When we receive the reservation fee in cleared funds, we will reserve the Vehicle for you and prevent its sale to a third party for the Reservation Period.  You will receive a confirmation email when the reservation is effective.  If you do not receive a confirmation email then your reservation has not been effective so please contact us.

There may be circumstances when the Vehicle has already been sold (before your reservation fee is paid) but the website has not yet been updated.  If this occurs, your reservation will be cancelled and we will contact you to confirm this, and to see if we can locate an alternative vehicle for you. Your reservation fee would be refunded.

If you do not make arrangements with the dealership within 48 hours to discuss the Vehicle, or do not then attend an agreed appointment within 7 days of payment of the reservation fee, the Reservation Period will end, your reservation may be cancelled and your reservation fee will be refunded.

If you attend a telephone or dealership appointment to discuss the Vehicle, and decide not to proceed, the Reservation Period will end.  If you purchase the Vehicle at that appointment, your reservation fee will be retained by us as part payment towards the Vehicle, and will be treated as a deposit on the Vehicle.  If the Vehicle is not suitable, and you do not wish to purchase it, your reservation fee will be refunded to you.

We may cancel your reservation if you have reserved more than 2 vehicles at any one time or if the Vehicle is withdrawn from sale for any reason.  Your reservation fee would be refunded in either case.

Any refunds can only be paid by the same method as the original payment and to the same card and will be paid within 7 days of request or cancellation of your reservation (or you confirming that you do not wish to purchase the Vehicle).

We are not responsible for any loss or damage for failure to comply with these terms that is outside of our control or for any loss or damage that was not foreseeable, and shall have no liability for any loss of profit, business or business opportunity.

Aftersales Offer Terms and Conditions

Vehicles within manufacturer warranty at the date of service will be serviced in accordance with the relevant manufacturer's requirements. Vehicles no longer within manufacturer warranty at the date of service will be serviced in accordance with The Taxi Centre requirements.

The service offer covers the provision of labour and parts for the vehicle service but excludes:

1. the cost of spark plugs or fuel filters;

2. the replacement of any parts that wear out as a consequence of use and which would normally be expected to be replaced periodically, for example (but not limited to), brake pads and discs, wiper blades, tyres, clutch friction facings, cam belts, suspension components, DPF filters and brake fluid changes; and

3. any other work identified as part of a vehicle health check at the time of the service.

The following vehicles/vehicle ranges are excluded from the service offer:

1. Nissan - all commercial vehicles, the Nissan Navara and the Nismo, GTR and RS vehicle ranges.

2. Volkswagen - all vehicles 3 years of age or under, all vehicles with an engine size over 2.0 litres and the VW Golf R.

3. SKODA - all vehicles 3 years of age or under, the Skoda Kodiaq and all vehicles in the VRS range.

4. SEAT - all vehicles 3 years of age or under, the SEAT Terraco and all Cupra vehicles.

5. Hyundai - all vehicles 30 months of age or under, all vehicles with an engine size over 2.0 litres and all vehicles in the N range.

6. Peugeot - all vehicles 30 months of age or under.

Any service performed does not constitute a warranty of any kind and will not cover the replacement of parts which suffer a mechanical failure.

While The Taxi Centre will use reasonable endeavours to make displayed vehicles available, it cannot guarantee the availability of any specific model or specification.

2) OFFER PERIOD & REDEMPTION: The Offer is valid for attendees at the Event who register their interest with The Taxi Centre sales team between 12.05.2026 and 17.05.2026 (inclusive) at the Event, where the associated vehicle order is placed and the purchase completed within two (2) weeks of the Event.

By entering this competition participants agree to these terms and conditions (Terms) and any information or guidance published by The Taxi Centre forms part of these Terms.

1) COMPETITION AND PRIZE: One (1) winner will receive an Amazon voucher of the value displayed on The Taxi Centre stand (the Prize) at the PHTM Expo 2026 (Expo).

Participants must load suitcases fully into the boot of the designated Skoda Superb on the stand, in accordance with staff instructions. Timing will be recorded by The Taxi Centre staff using the same method for all participants.

The Prize is strictly non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any alternative. The Prize will be provided within fourteen (14) days of the Competition ending, subject to winner verification.

2) COMPETITION PERIOD: The competition will run during the opening hours of the Expo at The Taxi Centre stand. Entries outside this period will not be valid (Promotion Period).

3) HOW TO ENTER: Entry is free and is gained by participating once in the Suitcase Challenge on The Taxi Centre stand during the Promotion Period. Only one entry per person is permitted. Multiple attempts are not allowed.

4) ELIGIBILITY: This competition is open to members of the general public attending the Expo who are resident in the United Kingdom and aged 18 or over at the date of entry. 5) WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: The participant who records the fastest valid time during the Promotion Period will be provisionally selected as the winner. The Taxi Centre will use the contact details provided at entry to notify the provisional winner as soon as reasonably practicable following the end of the Promotion Period.

If the provisional winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within seventy-two (72) hours of reasonable contact attempts, they will be deemed to have forfeited the Prize and The Taxi Centre reserves the right to award the Prize to the participant with the next fastest valid time. This process will continue until a winner is successfully contacted and verified.

In the event that two or more participants record an identical fastest valid time, those participants will be invited (where practicable) to return to the stand to complete one further attempt to determine the winner. If only one of the tied participants is able to attend the further attempt when invited, that participant will be declared the winner. If all tied participants respond but are unable to take part in a further attempt, or if a tie remains following the further attempt, the winner will be selected by random draw from the tied participants.

6) ENTRY CONDITIONS AND RISK: Participants must follow all instructions given by The Taxi Centre staff at all times. Participation involves light physical activity and entrants confirm they are fit to take part. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability which cannot be lawfully excluded.

7) DATA PROTECTION: The Taxi Centre may photograph or film the competition for promotional purposes. Participants may be included in such content and consent to such inclusion unless they notify staff otherwise at the time of participation.

Personal data supplied and collected in connection with this competition will be processed by The Taxi Centre for the purposes of administering the competition and awarding the Prize. Entrants� personal data will not be used for marketing purposes unless separate consent has been provided.

The Taxi Centre is not responsible for any failure or inability to enter. The Taxi Centre reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who it considers (at its absolute discretion) has violated these Terms and Conditions.

Entrants in this competition agree that The Taxi Centre will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, costs, damage, disappointment or losses of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly from acceptance, misuse or use of the Prize, or from participation in this competition, save for liability which cannot be excluded by law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud).

Participants acknowledge that The Taxi Centre is not the operator of the circuit, event or hospitality arrangements.

Notwithstanding any other terms and conditions of this competition, no refunds or any other monetary compensation will be paid in relation to any Prize where any event is rescheduled, postponed, delayed or cancelled for any reason.

9) SPIRIT OF THE COMPETITION: If an entrant attempts to compromise the integrity or legitimate operation of this competition by cheating or committing fraud in any way, The Taxi Centre may seek damages from that entrant to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Further, The Taxi Centre will disqualify that entrant�s entry to this competition and may ban the entrant from participating in any future giveaways, promotions or competitions run by The Taxi Centre or any of its affiliates.

10) LAW AND JURISDICTION: This competition and these Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims), shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

The winner irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims).

By entering the competition, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (Terms and Conditions).

1) PRIZE: Winner(s) will receive a free set of wiper blades for the winner's taxi supplied by Wiperblades.co.uk (the Prize). The promotion dates, number of winners (two), and the required guess (A, B, or C) will be specified in the related promotional post. The promotion may run across multiple social media platforms; winners are selected per post, not per platform. The Prize must be for the winner's taxi vehicle and proof of vehicle ownership will be required. No cash alternative is available. The Prize is non-transferable.

2) ELIGIBILITY: Open to UK residents aged 18 and over who are licensed taxi drivers and can provide valid proof of taxi driver status (e.g., a taxi badge or operator licence). Employees of The Taxi Centre or its group companies, affiliates, or immediate family are not eligible.

3) PROMOTION PERIOD: This promotion runs from 19 August 2025 until 31 December 2025. Entries received outside this time or the time specified in the individual promotional post will not be valid.

4) ENTRY: To enter, participants must like the relevant social media post and comment with their guess (A, B, or C) as to the correct location of the ball in the image provided. No purchase is necessary. Only one entry per person and only one Prize per taxi driver. Duplicate or fraudulent entries will be disqualified.

5) WINNER SELECTION: Winner(s) will be chosen at random from all valid entries and contacted via direct message on the platform where their entry was submitted within three (3) days of the closing date of the individual promotion. If a winner does not respond within 48 hours, The Taxi Centre reserves the right to select an alternative winner. Winners must provide proof of taxi driver status and their taxi's vehicle registration to claim the Prize.

6) PUBLICITY: The winner(s) may be publicly announced on social media. By entering, participants consent to their name being used in this way.

7) GENERAL: No correspondence will be entered into regarding the competition or these Terms and Conditions. In the unlikely event of a dispute, The Taxi Centre's decision shall be final. This Promotion and these Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. The Participant irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim.

The Taxi Centre | Refer A Friend Scheme

We hope that you will want to tell family and friends about your experience with The Taxi Centre. If you refer somebody to us after you have purchased your taxi and they purchase a qualifying taxi, we will happily send you £100 as a thank you. You can refer as many people as you like and you will receive £100 for each one that completes a purchase of a qualifying new taxi from The Taxi Centre. Excludes LEVC vehicles.

1) REDEMPTION PROCESS: (a) Write your name and email address on a Taxi Centre referral slip (available on request); tell your friends about us, and give them the slip with your name on it. When they come to The Taxi Centre, they must hand us the slip and mention you as their referrer, OR (b) Ensure your friend contacts The Taxi Centre; provides your full name at the point of making an enquiry; and confirms they have been referred by you before an order is confirmed. No retrospective claims will be accepted - we'll do the rest!

2) REWARD PAYMENT: If you have bought a taxi from The Taxi Centre, you will receive a £100 cheque by post (or a bank transfer) for the purchase from The Taxi Centre of a qualifying taxi by a friend or family member where you have referred them to us once the sale is finalised. A purchase will be recognised upon:

  • - The receipt of the full vehicle sale price:
  • - Vehicle registration (if it is a new vehicle); and
  • - Vehicle handover to the buyer.

The buyer must independently mention your name to a Taxi Centre sales colleague before placing their order. £100 will only be paid if the buyer is a new customer to The Taxi Centre. Only one £100 reward will be paid per sale, and only one referrer may be named per transaction.

3) LEGACY OFFER HONOUR CLAUSE: We will honour the previous £150 referrer / £100 referred offer for any customer who presents a printed flyer or promotional material advertising it, provided all other eligibility criteria are met.

We reserve the right to refuse payment if there is evidence of fraudulent use of this offer or non-compliance with these terms and conditions. The Taxi Centre Facebook Mileage Competition | Terms and Conditions

Participants agree to these terms and conditions (Terms and Conditions) and any information or guidance published by The Taxi Centre form part of these Terms and Conditions.

1) PRIZE: ONE winner will receive a £100 Greggs e-Gift Card (the Prize) each calendar month that the competition is running. There is no cash alternative, and the Prize cannot be exchanged for any other prize. 2) ELIGIBILITY: This competition is open to any person resident in the UK who is over the age of 18, and who works in the UK Private Hire or Taxi industry (not limited to a specific job title but will be assessed by The Taxi Centre in its absolute discretion) and is a registered member of https://www.facebook.com (Facebook).  Employees of The Taxi Centre or its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotion agencies are not eligible, nor are members of these employees' families (defined as parents, children, siblings, spouse and life partners).

3) TIMING: This competition runs from 00:01am on the first day of the month until 23:59 on the last day of the month for each month that the competition is running as specified in the competition post at https://www.facebook.com/thetaxicentre (the Promotion Period(s)).

4) ENTRY: To be entered into the competition, entrants must during the applicable Promotion Period:

  • Like the post;
  • Tag a friend on the post; and
  • Comment your guess as to how many miles The Taxi Centre's Sales Manager has travelled in his demo car in the month of the Promotion Period (in miles).

Each person may only enter once and must only enter on their own behalf. Entries will be ineligible if they are incomplete; are found to be part of an attempt to use multiple accounts to enter; violate the rights of any other person or entity; are received outside of the Promotion Period; are reported to violate the terms governing use of Facebook. No purchase is necessary to enter the competition.

Entry constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions which may be updated from time to time. The Taxi Centre is not responsible for any failure or inability to enter. The Taxi Centre reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who it considers (at its absolute discretion) has violated these Terms and Conditions.

5) WINNER SELECTION: The winner of the Prize will be the entrant who guesses the closest mileage to that travelled by our Sales Manager and has met all other entry requirements. In the event of a draw between multiple entrants the winner will be selected by The Taxi Centre (at its absolute discretion).

6) USE OF YOUR ENTRY: The winner of the Prize consents to his/her full name being made publicly available and posted on social media including Facebook as the winner. They also consent to permit or take part in any additional publicity which may be reasonably requested by The Taxi Centre. Any other personal data you provide when you enter may be used for future marketing activities by The Taxi Centre if you indicate your consent to such activity. Otherwise, this personal data will be used by The Taxi Centre and agents acting on their behalf only for the operation of this competition.

7) NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS: The winner will be contacted by The Taxi Centre or agents acting on its behalf via Facebook to claim their Prize. If a potential winner has not confirmed receipt of the notification within thirty-two (32) hours of the first attempt, another winner may be selected to replace them, and the potential winner will cease to be entitled to the Prize. The winner may be asked to provide documentation proving their eligibility before they are entitled to receive the Prize.

8) OTHER: No correspondence will be entered into regarding either this competition or these Terms and Conditions. In the unlikely event of a dispute, The Taxi Centre's decision shall be final. The Taxi Centre reserves the right to amend, modify, cancel or withdraw this competition at any time without notice before the Prize is claimed and the winner confirmed. Participants in this competition agree that Vertu Motors plc and its subsidiaries or group companies will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, costs, damage, disappointment or losses of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly from acceptance, misuse or use of a Prize, or from participation in this competition. Nothing in this clause shall limit Vertu Motors plc's or its subsidiaries' or group companies' liability in respect of death or personal injury arising out of its own negligence or liability arising out of Vertu Motors plc's fraud. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Greggs plc.

9) SPIRIT OF THE COMPETITION:If an entrant attempts to compromise the integrity or the legitimate operation of this promotion by hacking or by cheating or committing fraud in ANY way, we may seek damages from that entrant to the fullest extent permitted by law. Further, we will disqualify that entrant's entry to this competition and may ban the entrant from participating in any of our future competitions, so please enter fairly.

10) LAW AND JURISDICTION:This prize draw and these terms and conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
