Icon Equipment plus:
Times have changed. The LEVC TX Vista is a taxi built for the modern era of motoring. It's equipped with all the driving features included with the Icon model, with the addition of rear parking sensors, as well as accessibility features to make your vehicle wheelchair user-friendly including an accessibility ramp, intermediate step, swivel seat, and digital voice intercom with hearing aid loop - all included with your purchase.
All LEVC vehicles utilise eCity technology, which combines an electric powertrain with a 1.5-litre petrol engine (also known as a Range Extender) to enhance your driving range. This includes the TX Vista model. Helping to recharge the Drive Battery while extending the range, driving an LEVC taxi means you won't have to worry about 'range anxiety'.
As a TX vehicle, Vista offers a pure electric range of 78 miles*, and a total flexible range of 333 miles**, making it perfect for the busy demands of city driving. With three driving modes (Pure EV, Smart and Save), the Vista is an adaptive, intuitive vehicle which can switch between modes to maximise efficient driving.
Pure mode uses only electric power to ensure your vehicle produces zero emissions - ideal for city driving. Smart mode is the default driving mode, operating the vehicle as efficiently as possible before the range extender is used, and Save mode activates the range extender to conserve battery charge for later.

Who owns LEVC?
LEVC is owned by the Geely Group, which is a leading automotive company based in Hangzhou, China.
What does LEVC stand for?
LEVC stands for the London Electric Vehicle Company.
Is the LEVC TX a petrol or a diesel?
Technically, it's neither. The LEVC TX is a Range Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV), consisting of an electric battery and motor, and a small petrol engine.
Is the LEVC TX taxi fully electric?
No - the LEVC TX taxi is not fully electric due to the range extender inside. This acts as a reserve to help maintain the battery level, kicking in once this starts to deplete. The TX is therefore classed as a form of hybrid vehicle, and although it always electrically driven it is not fully electric.
When was LEVC founded?
LEVC began in 1908 with taxi dealers JJ Mann and Tom Overton, who started importing vehicles to Britain exclusively for the taxi trade. The duo designed a special cab in response to new Conditions of Fitness regulations, which soon became the most popular cab in the city at the time.
Where is the LEVC TX manufactured?
The LEVC TX is made at the company's Ansty factory in Coventry, UK. In March 2023, the facility celebrated achieving a major milestone of producing 10,000 vehicles.
